The programs interface does a nice job of walking users through the tarot reading process, thanks to its onscreen directions and simple design. Problems arise when users attempt to customize their deck or their spread, since the directions are not as clear. The programs online Help file does provide a little clarity, but not enough to make these options feel intuitive. Setting up the tarot cards for a reading was pleasantly simple, even if users are unfamiliar with tarot terminology. A helpful screen walked us through selecting a deck and choosing a spread. The reading screen was equally helpful, showing the cards in bold colors and running down what each means. We did not have as much luck with the special feature to create our own deck and spread. While organized in the same manner as the rest of the program, we found it nearly impossible to move forward without prior knowledge of organizing tarot decks and would not recommend this option for newcomers.

While the program is uneven, it does perform the task of providing tarot readings. If users can walk a steady line of avoiding the special feature pitfalls, this freeware program can be a useful tool.

Free software should be just that. Not something you have to buy, view, or be subjected to some web site you didnt ask to go to. This is crapware, at least the product I tried and aint about to try another one. Burnt once is more than enough. Just annoyed with this type of thing so posting on another of their products.

The Thoth Deck is an excellent Deck, even beautiful in a way, but it is also heavily booby-trapped. It is designed to work improperly for the unwary and can be quite dangerous.

I would advise anyone reading the above review to do the same thing I advise the above review-writer to do: calm down just a bit. Take a breath and realize that yes, Crowley was not tangled by the morals and sense of right-and-wrong that most of us are, but he was not an evil man by nature and was in fact more free than most of us can even conceive of. The Thoth Tarot Deck is complicated for new users to be sure and probably shouldnt be used as a learning or teaching deck. But there is no danger of backfire while attempting to predict quantum probability fields. People should not live and die by the results of a tarot divination. They are, at best, a suggestion of possible events, nothing more.

Crowley was a full Golden Dawn initiate, but he was also expelled from that Order on very solid grounds.
